Thelma Louise (Jenkins) Curry, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday afternoon, June 24, 2016. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
She was born on March 27, 1927, in Floyd County, Indiana, to the late Frank and Ida Belle (Johnson) Jenkins. Thelma was also preceded in death by her loving husband, William Curry; and siblings, Elizabeth Kerr and William Jenkins.
Thelma is survived by her nephew, Marvin Kerr and his wife, Ann; along with several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in the chapel at the funeral home with visitation before from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.
