March 19, 1930 — May 11, 2017

Thelma King, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on March 19, 1930 to the late Lon and Rene Williams.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl King; two brothers, Don Williams and Berton Williams.

Thelma is survived by her beloved children, Kathy Childers and David (Norma) King; two grandchildren, Kasey (Chris) Moss and Kyle Childers; three great-grandchildren, Ashton Moss, Kaebrian Childers and Makayla Childers; and a host of other family members and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Kentucky Humane Society.
