Teri Churchman, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on March 7, 2026. She was born on August 27, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, to John and Vivian (Schubert) Prather. Teri was preceded in death by father, John Prather.

Teri enjoyed a long and fulfilling career, dedicating over 15 years TARC and subsequently spending another 15 years in the Daycare Industry. Her professional journey was marked by a steadfast commitment to caring for others, reflecting her selfless nature. A proud graduate of Iroquois High School, class of 1972.

The heart of Teri's life was her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband of 48 years, Larry Churchman. Together, they provided an enduring model of love and partnership that inspired all who knew them. Teri took immense pride in her role as a mother to Stephanie Robinson, Julie Broskey (Brad), and Doug Churchman (Michelle). Her dedication to her children was matched only by her love for her grandchildren, Jessica Hart, Marissa Robinson, Trevor Robinson, Carter Broskey, and Myles Broskey, as well as her great-grandchildren, Grant Hart, Preston Hart, Ethan Hart, and Zella Suddoth. One of Teri's proudest accomplishments was nurturing her family, fostering a deep bond that will endure beyond her years.

Known for her great sense of humor and feisty spirit, Teri lived life to the fullest. She found joy in the simple pleasures, from enjoying time at the lake, playing Bunco and Bingo to visiting the casino. Her many craft hobbies, especially crocheting baby blankets, showcased her creativity and thoughtfulness. Teri enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her loved ones, creating cherished memories around the dinner table.

Teri’s warmth and caring nature shone through in her relationships. She was a constant source of support for her mother, Vivian Prather, and enjoyed daily conversations with her sisters, Marcia Cox (Larry), Kathy Gregory (Jerry), Patty Prather, and brother, John Prather (LeeAnn). Her commitment to family was unwavering, and her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
