Teresa Quarles

Teresa Jane (Burr) Quarles, 60, of New Albany, IN passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 in Jeffersonville, IN. She worked for many years at the US Census Bureau. Teresa enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family but her true love was all of her grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Mawmaw".

Teresa was born on March 30, 1955 in New Albany, IN. She is preceded death by her father James Burr; and her sisters, Joy Ownes and Anita Burr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Quarles; children, James Burr (Ashley) & Ashlea Burr (Mario); mother, Anita (Ford) Wilkerson; sisters, Lavonne Cowherd (June) & Brenda Burr; brother, Doug Owens; grandchildren, Tre'von, Jamie, Jasmine, Jakobi, Zavia, & Zariyah; and a host of step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephwes, great-nephews, and many other relatives.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 3 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
