Teddy "Tit" Williams, a cherished member of the community and a loving family man, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 67 in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was born on April 2, 1958. Teddy enjoyed a fulfilling career in maintenance, working at the Louisville Palace and owning and operating his own business, earning respect and admiration from his colleagues and those he served.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Teddy carried with him a strong sense of duty and honor throughout his life. He was a graduate of Shawnee High School, Class of 1976, where he laid the foundation for his bright and engaging personality. Those who knew him recall his warmth and kindness; he truly loved everybody. His interests were as varied as they were engaging—spending quality time with family at the lake brought him immense joy, and he often reminisced about the day he caught a gigantic catfish during a memorable trip to the Lake of the Ozarks. Teddy had a fascination with chess, fishing, cartoons, and Star Trek, demonstrating a playful spirit alongside his many talents.
A master craftsman, he could build anything you requested given a nail, hammer, and a piece of wood.
Teddy is survived by his lifelong partner of 16 years, Kathy Bachik; his children, Teddy Williams, Jr., Kenya Washington, and Theodore Summers; his siblings, Sue Irvin (Jerry), Terry Williams, Kenneth Williams, Kitty Daniels, and Derick Williams; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish the memories they created together. He also leaves behind his loving dog, Precious.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Smith; father, Joseph Owsley; sister, Tammie Williams; and brother, Ricardo Williams. Their absence will be deeply felt as Teddy's legacy of love and compassion continues to enrich the lives of those he held dear.
Friends and family are invited to honor Teddy's life with a visitation on December 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243, at 1:00 PM.
