Tanya L. Toll, affectionately known as "Minnie," peacefully departed this life on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the age of 74 in her beloved hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
Born on July 12, 1950, Tanya was the cherished daughter of the late Roscoe Pope and Doris Merideth. She now joins them in eternal rest, along with her beloved grandson, Adam A. Austin, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
Tanya is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Randall Toll, and their loving children: Daria (Brian) Taylor, Travis (Sara Austin) Slaughter, and Regina Toll. She also leaves behind her adopted daughter, Jackie Pryse, as well as her adored grandchildren: Ashley Slaughter, Rachael Austin, Cody Price, Jayden Austin, and Brooklyn Berry. Tanya was a treasured sister to Ronna (Larry) Ash and Rick Pope, and her warmth touched the lives of numerous individuals who lovingly called her "Minnie."
An incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Tanya was known for her joyful spirit and compassionate heart. She greeted everyone with open arms, embodying the true essence of a caregiver. Bowling was not just a pastime for her; it was a passion that brought her immense joy and connected her to her cherished bowling family. When she wasn't on the lanes, Tanya could be found making beautiful memories at the lake or boating with those she adored. The love she cultivated within her family and community is a legacy that will be admired for generations to come.
Friends and family are invited to honor Tanya's memory during visitation from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2nd, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, with an opportunity for guests to visit the family beginning at 9:00 AM that morning.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Tanya’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – a cause that aligns beautifully with her compassionate spirit.
