Tamra R. Woodrome

Tamra "Tammy" R. Woodrome, born on July 3, 1962, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in New Salisbury, Indiana. She was a remarkable individual known for her generous spirit and unwavering support for her family and friends.

Tammy worked as a supervisor for Apartment Property Management, excelling in her role and making a lasting impact on the lives of those she managed. A proud 1980 graduate of New Albany High School, she was not only dedicated to her career but also devoted to her loved ones. Known affectionately as "mom to everyone," she was always willing to lend a helping hand to family members in need, embodying a nurturing and supportive presence in their lives.

Her personality shone through in all that she did; she was the type of person who would help with anything, no matter the challenge. Tammy had a love for the outdoors, enjoyed gardening, and delighted in boating. She had a profound affection for animals and cherished her time working on the family farm with her husband.

Tammy is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew "Skip" Woodrome; her sons, Tim (Christina) Hobbs and Andrew Woodrome, IV; sister, Vicky Halbermel; and nephew, Tony (Dawn) Habermel. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation in her honor will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM, both at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150.

Tamra "Tammy" R. Woodrome will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her legacy of compassion and care will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
