Tammy Rowena Willen, aged 61, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Tammy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend. Known for her witty sense of humor and sweet personality, she brought joy to everyone around her.
Tammy was a proud ordained minister and had also earned her degree as a Private Investigator. She found great happiness in spending time with her children and tending to her beautiful flowers. Her love for cats was well-known, and she was admired for her excellent baking skills. Tammy’s nurturing spirit attracted children, and she took pleasure in caring for them. She was also a skilled caregiver and expressed her creativity through her artistic talents. Tammy will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Born on July 17, 1964, at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, Tammy was the daughter of William Robert Willen, Jr., and Coleta (Whittenburg) Willen. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Robert Willen, Jr. and Coleta Willen; her grandparents Melvin and Ada Beall; and William R. Willen, Sr. and Anita Ruth Perry.
Tammy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kristine Bock; son, Eric Land and his wife, Heather; grandsons, Joseph Bock and James Bock; brothers, Daniel Willen, Robert (Jennifer) Willen, Lee (Melissa) Willen; sister, Vickie (Dean) Owens; step-sister, Brenda (Donnie) Ashlock; honorary brother, Derand Holder; aunt, Connie (Kyle) Stevenson; as well as fifteen nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of Tammy’s life will follow at 5:00 p.m. on the same day at the funeral home.
