Sylvester White Tolbert-
Was born on June 2, 1941 and passed away on July 26, 2020. He was born to the late John Moxley Tolbert and Lizzie Mae Tolbert. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, John Chris Tolbert, Vernon Tolbert, and Lawrence "Larry" Tolbert, Sr. Devoted and loving life partner, Nancy Woodard.
Sylvester accepted Christ and was Baptized at a young age at Bethel Temple Apostolic Church. He graduated from Shawnee High School. Sylvester was a Vietnam Veteran that served in the United States Army. He retired from the United States Postal Service after many years and where he was known as "Castro".
Sylvester loved to travel and enjoyed being outdoors. His personality could always light up a room. Sylvester enjoyed life to the fullest and always had all the finer things in life. He always had many friends and could always be the "Life of the Party".
He leaves to cherish his memories; his children, Lisa Tolbert, Curtis Tolbert, Sylvia Tolbert, Sybol Tolbert, Step-Daughter, Tanja Woodward, Brothers, Edward Tolbert, and William Tolbert, and a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, and Funerals (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals- Southwest Louisville Chapel.
