Pastor Sylvester Clayton Trowell Jr.
Pastor Sylvester Trowell was born in Louisville, KY to his late parents Carlotta Woods and Sylvester C. Trowell Sr. on February 1, 1961. He gained his wings on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Green Valley Care Center with his daughter by his side. He graduated from Waggener High School in 1979. Shortly after, he joined the Navy until he was honorably discharged in 1985. In 1982, Pastor Trowell Had a beautiful baby Girl, Sharri Trowell. He later married Yolanda Wilkins in 2007. one son, Sylvester Trowell III was born from that union.
Pastor Trowell professed hope in Christ at an early age. He was a very talented drummer and had a great passion for music and all instruments. He later joined Word of Faith Full Gospel Church where he served as an assistant Pastor. He was ordained as a licensed minister in 2001. He went on to start Saved By Grace Full Gospel Church in 2003. He worked with many companies as a master electrician for over 40 years.
He worked hard to take care of his family. His family loved when he cooked chicken and dumplings and his famous tuna casserole. Pastor Trowell loved to tell jokes, study and preach the word of God, spend time with his grandchildren, cook, and play the drums every chance he got. He was an advent Louisville Cardinals and Pittsburg Steeler fan.
Besides his parent he was proceeded in death by his brothers: Gregory Trowell, Lee E. Trowell; sister: Delrita Stevenson and granddaughter Skylar Carmae Trowell. He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy his wife Yolanda R. Trowell; children: daughter Sharri C. Trowell, son Sylvester “Sly” Trowell III (Amara); stepsons JaQuan Duggar Sr. and Ben Wilkins (Tara); bonus daughter; Cassandra Cosby; Biological grandchildren: Sania C. Trowell, Sacoya C. Trowell, Sayvion C. Trowell, Syncere C. Trowell, Tyrell Phelps, Gianni Dailey and many other grandchildren; brothers: Frank Stevenson Jr., Gerald Stevenson and sister Debra Brown (Reggie); best
friend Brian Weaver; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and cherished friends.
