Sybil Inez Blair, 93, of New Albany, Indiana, was born on September 30, 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana, and she stepped into Eternity to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. There she joined her waiting husband, Richard; her parents Velton and Cleo Blizzard; and her sister, Thelma Pair, and many, many of her precious friends who have gone on before. We expect to meet her soon at that great meeting in the air!
Sybil was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave her heart to the Lord Jesus Christ at a young age. Her entire life was devoted to serving the Lord alongside her minister husband, Richard. Beginning in the early 1960s, they were introduced to the Message of Brother William Marrion Branham, and their lives were forever changed. They began traveling across the country to attend the great healing campaigns of Brother Branham. They were blessed to be in around 100 of his meetings and were eye-witnesses to many, many miraculous happenings. They became faithful and ardent followers of Brother Branham and worked to spread that Message and serve the Bride of Christ until the Lord called them Home. Sybil was also a dedicated member of The Branham Tabernacle. God blessed Sybil with the gift of music. She played the piano, organ, and accordion beautifully, always and only for the glory of the Lord.
Sybil is survived by her children, Nathan (Tonya) Blair, Joanna Gilley, and Rebekah (David) Lightcap; sister, Jeri Harris; grandchildren, April (Robert) Whitehurst and Andrew Gilley; and great-grandchildren, Naomi, Anderson, Gracyn, and Cali.
