Additionally, Susan maintained an active lifestyle through her participation in the Silver Sneakers program at Anytime Fitness in Floyds Knobs, embracing each opportunity to nurture her well-being and community connections.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of over 62 years, James "Mike" Wimsatt, Sr., who stood by her side throughout their life together. She is also lovingly remembered by her children: James Wimsatt, Jr. and his wife Michele; Keith Wimsatt; Dawn Freimuth and her husband Tim; and Richie Wimsatt and his wife Evelyn. Her family further extends through her sister, Donna Shireman, and a remarkable legacy of 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life.
