Susan "Susie" L. Board

Susan "Susie" L. Board, born on March 26, 1961, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, in her home. A vibrant spirit whose laughter could light up a room, Susie was deeply loved by those who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of joy and cherished memories.

Throughout her life, she found joy in many activities, notably playing Bingo, watching her favorite television shows, including "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Wheel of Fortune", and challenging herself on PAC MAN. However, her greatest passion was spending quality time with her family and friends, forming bonds that enriched her life and those around her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kerry (Jonathan) Sanchez; her sister, Elizabeth (Gary) Gilley; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will dearly miss her. Her connection with her family was profound, and she always made time to create lasting memories with each of them.

Susie is preceded in death by her significant other, George Spencer, her parents, Clarence and Irene Board, her sister, Linda Behr, and her brother, William Board. Their absence leaves a void in her life that was filled with love and warmth, and they will be fondly remembered by those she left behind.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate the life of Susie Board, a remarkable woman who touched many lives with her kindness, warmth, and spirit.
