Susan Silverthorn, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020. She was born on February 8, 1955 in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada to the late John and Margaret Silverthorn. She retired from Kentucky School for the Blind and caring for the children there was her greatest passion. She loved to play games with them and would often take some of the children home for family and holiday parties. She enjoyed to crochet and watch British TV. She was a natural born caregiver and cared for both of her parents and her sister at the end of their lives. She loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own children and often would refer to them as such.
In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Clements; a brother, Timothy Silverthorn; and a nephew, Jonathan Clemens.
Left to cherish her memory is her niece, Karen (Alex) Clemens; great niece, Valerie Clemens; 2 nephews, Nicholas Kaegin and Jonathan Garrett Clemens; her beloved dog and cat, Ande` and Freddie; and a host of aunts and cousins.
Susan will be cremated and due to current restrictions, a memorial service will be held in the future for both her and her sister, Beverly.
