Susan Lynn Henderson born on January 30, 1951, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in her hometown. A graduate of New Albany High School, Susan invariably left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her radiant personality was such that she never met a stranger, embracing each new face with warmth and friendship.
Susan was not only known for her vivacious spirit but also for her deep-seated passions. She cherished reading, dancing, and music, and found joy in her trips to Hilton Head. Furthermore, she was a devoted fan of lifetime movies. Most importantly, her heart was devoted to spending time with family and friends, making memories that they would hold dear for years to come.
She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, and her granddaughter, Lucy, was truly the light of her life. Their shared moments, particularly their outings to the movies, filled her with joy and purpose.
In her loving memory, Susan is survived by her husband, Frankie Henderson; step-son, Frank Henderson; granddaughter, Lucy Bentley; and her best friend, Debbie Eberle, along with many other cherished friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Donovan Bentley; father, Cliff Bentley; mother, Betty Bentley; and sister, Karen Bentley. Each of these beloved family members brought a unique light to her life, and their memories will forever be kept close to the hearts of those who knew her.
Visitation for Susan Lynn Henderson will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana in New Albany. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 PM.
Susan’s spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her, and her legacy of kindness and connection will endure in the stories shared by her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
