Sue Ann (Vanover) Flora

Sue Ann (Vanover) Flora, 73, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. She had a successful career as a real estate agent. Sue loved spending time with her family and hosting big family get together's. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking cakes. Sue also volunteered at her grandkids school, doing box tops for education.

She was born on October 20, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Lawrence, Sr. and Violet (Highfill) Vanover. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Farese; brother, Lawrence "Happy" Vanover, Jr.; sister, Carol J. Amig; and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.

Sue is survived by her husband, Carl Flora; daughter, Martha Flora; sister, Deborah L. Bandy; grandchildren, Robert "B.J." Alvey, Kimberly Gephart (fiancée, David Higgins), Jamie Gephart-Martin (Tim), Michelle Flora (Kenny Payne), Karalynn Flora (fiancée, Devon Faust); seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-laws and cousins.

Sue's wish was to be cremated. A reception of family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a memorial service taking place at 3:00 p.m.
