Steven Richard Stephens, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and the retired owner of Allied Heating and Air.
He was born on September 13, 1956 in Marlinton, Virginia to Jessie (Short) Stephens and the late Richard Deel. Along with his mother, Steve is survived by his children, Suzanne Curts (Derrick), Jonathan Chism, Nicholas Chism; best friend and companion, Kathy Ross; siblings, Debra Goins (Caleb), Frank Stephens (Stacy), John Stephens (Julia); and grandchildren, Adriana and Gavin Chism.
Cremation was chosen following Steve's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
The family requests that contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205).
