Steven R. Hurst, 65, of Borden, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013. He was a United States Army veteran that served his country during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW Post 6636 in Salem, Indiana. Steve enjoyed camping and as well as spending time with his family.
Steve was born on November 28, 1948 in Clark County, Indiana to the late Tommy and Lillian (Jackson) Hurst. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mariea L. (Keehn) Hurst; daughter, Trina Barnes (Les); brothers, Mike (Brenda), Sam (Janet), Stanley Hurst (Connie); grandchildren, Kaylin, Emily, Conner, and Brookelyn Barnes.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden.
