Steven Gregory Meyer, 40, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Saturday, October 31, 2020.

He was born on March 22, 1980 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Wanda Meyer. Steven was a graduate of PRP High School; where he was a runner and played football. After high School he enlisted in the Kentucky Army National Guard; where he has proudly served for the last 22 years, receiving the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star. Steven was also a Certified Financial Institutions Examiner for the State of Kentucky for seven years.

Steven was a very accomplished man during his life and will be remembered for more than words could ever explain. To his family, they will always remember how much he loved and provided for them. To his friends; he was a honest, sincere and trustworthy person, and let us all not forgot how much he was a huge U of L fan.

Here to carry on his memory are his wife, Amanda Meyer, children, Samuel Meyer, Seth Meyer, Katelyn Walker, and Annabelle Walker, his brothers, Nick (Brittany) Meyer, and Rob (Daphne) Lawson, and a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
