Steven Dale Fowler

Steven Dale Fowler, known affectionately as Steve, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026. Born on June 19, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, Steve’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and the warmth he extended to all who knew him.

Steve leaves behind a loving legacy, most notably his devoted wife of 37 years, Shelly Fowler, who stood by his side through life’s many chapters. His presence will also be deeply missed by his mother, Betty Fowler, and his son, Derek (Kaitlin) Tingle. Steve’s close-knit family includes his siblings—sister Pokey (Curtis), brother Bruce (Tama), and brother Todd (Stella)—all of whom will cherish his memory. Grandchildren Chip and Theodore held a special place in Steve’s heart, along with his nieces and nephews Tyler, Stephanie (Andrew), Shelby, Spencer, Natasha, Brandon, and Sophia. The family circle extends to his great nieces and nephews, Leo and Lainey, who will carry forward his loving spirit.

Preceding Steve in death was his father, Don Fowler, whose life laid the foundation for the values and love Steve carried throughout his own journey.

Steve Dale Fowler’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and resilience. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. In this time of sorrow, his family and friends find solace in the memories they shared with Steve—a beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, and cherished member of a large and caring family.
