Steven Cornelius Fitzgerald, born on October 11, 1983, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on November 6, 2025. He was a cherished son, dedicated friend, wonderful father and beloved member of his community, leaving behind a legacy marked by kindness and compassion.

Steven graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in 2002, where he began to cultivate the charming and easy-going personality that would define him throughout his life. He had an infectious smile and always found a way to uplift those around him with his warm words and caring demeanor. His ability to connect with others created lasting relationships and fond memories, ensuring that he will be deeply missed by many.

In 2019, Steven began his career at MP Global, a role he remained committed to until his health declined in 2024. During his time there, he was known for his reliability and unwavering support for his colleagues. His work ethic and the genuine connections he fostered are a testament to his character.

Outside of his professional life, Steven found joy in various hobbies that reflected his vibrant personality. He was passionate about shooting pool and spent many enjoyable hours immersed in games, sharing laughter and good times with friends. As a devoted sports fan, he delighted in watching his favorite team, UK, adding excitement to his weekends.

Steven held a deep appreciation for spirituality and found solace in reading the Word of God, which was one of his proudest accomplishments and a reflection of his values and beliefs.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin Mathis, Jr., Emily A. Crenshaw Brown, Lafornia C. Fitzgerald Sr. and LaCleade Fitzgerald; aunt Linda Mathis and uncles, Phillip Crenshaw and Emmett Fitzgerald.

Steven leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Tammy Crenshaw; father, LaFornia Cornelius Fitzgerald, Jr; sons, SeanTavis Devon Davidson, DeShaun Cornelius Crenshaw and Steli’ Jaromir Fitzgerald; daughter, Keeonna Rose Crenshaw; stepchildren, Mickel, Chauncey, Zechariah, Kayla, London, Micaela and Mikelle; uncle, Garry W. Crenshaw, James Mathis, Lorenzo Mathis and John Mathis; aunts, Cozette Davis, Brenda Davis, Terri (Larry) Brown, Linda Fitzgerald, Marilyn Watkins, Arleta Freeman, Roni Nash, Gloria Dhawan, Phyllis (Edward) Johnson, Olivia Hampton and Anita Mathis; best friends, Craig Mathis, Rodney Freeman, Jr, Stacy Crenshaw, DiAngela Harris, Satoria Chambers, Eric Turner, Toonie Turner, Charles Marshall; children’s mother, Sierra Davidson and Arontria Wathal; girlfriend, Kenisha Williams and a host of cousins and extended family.

A memorial service to honor Steven's life will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. Visitation will be held on November 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 4:00 PM.

Steven Cornelius Fitzgerald’s warm spirit and loving nature will remain in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him. He has left an indelible mark on the lives he touched, and his memory will continue to inspire those who carry on his legacy of kindness and compassion.
