Steven Ralph Emge

Steven Ralph Emge, aged 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Born on July 27, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Joseph and Patricia (Irwin) Emge, Steven was a devoted fan of UK basketball and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Throughout his life, Steven was known for his great sense of humor and generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand. He cherished his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather, and shared a special bond with his beloved cats, Hunter and Chloe. As a distinguished Kentucky Colonel, Steven's presence brightened the lives of all who knew him.

He is lovingly remembered by his father, Joseph Emge, his wife of 29 years, Amy L. Emge, and his children, Stephanie (Randy) Bolser, Jacelyn Emge, Brandon Higdon, and Joshua Higdon. His grandchildren, Isabelle Bolser, Sophia Bolser, and Alaina Stine, will forever hold dear the memories of their grandfather. Steven's family also includes his brother, Thomas (Laurie) Emge, his sister, Pamela (Frank) Willner, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation services will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – Southwest Louisville Chapel. The funeral service will commence at 2:00 pm at the same location, followed by burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
