Steven Ray Beemer

Steven Ray Beemer, 62, a devoted and loving husband, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019. He retired from Wal-Mart in Corydon after 24 years of service. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a protector and friend to many.

He was born on January 25, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John Beemer and Georgia (Belles) King. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Young.

Steve is survived by his wife of 35 of years, Denise (Bilbro) Beemer; step-son, Donald Coakley; siblings, Timothy Beemer (Bonnie), Russell Beemer, John King, Nancy Knott; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in New Albany.
