Steve "Homerun" Runner, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 11, 1956 to the late Lorenzo Jackson and Faye Reedus. He got his nickname, "Homerun" for his love of playing softball with the OG's. He also loved talking on his CB Radio, channel 19 where his call name was "Clint Eastwood". He was a true University of Louisville Cardinal fan and also enjoyed skating and corn hole. He was baptized at an early age at Emmanuel Baptist Church where his services will be.

Steve is survived by his fiancé, Linda Jones; his beloved aunt who he dearly loved, Thelatha Harrison; children, Tamu (Miyako) Nicholson, Steve Stevenson, JuVonda Reed, LaShonda Stevenson; siblings, Mardina (Darnell) Nelson, Jeffery (Angela) Reedus, Evette (Gregory) Hudson, Lydia Reedus, Belinda (Louis) Sims; step-father, Shafter Reedus; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and extended family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 1:00 pm Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3815 West Broadway, Louisville, KY 40211 with burial to follow in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the church. Arrangements under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel.
