Steve Palas, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He was born on January 19, 1930 in Lumberton, North Carolina to Stavoris and Hazel (Woody) Palierakis. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia Palas, daughter, Pam Stegner, daughter, Vicki Cavanaugh, son, Stevie Palas and 1 sister.

He is survived by his 4 grandchildren, Holly (Chad) Stewart, Michelle (Andy) Palas, Michael Hardesty, Danielle Harris and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
