Steve Newton

Steve Newton, age 62, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016. He was an Army Veteran during the Vietnam War, and was a member of AmVets Post #9. Steve worked for many years at Kister Wood Products and retired from Deckel and Moneypenny. He was a talented millwright and woodworker, and was a member of the carpenters union. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Marcella Slack Newton.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Theresa; his children, Steve Newton (Christie), Cody Newton and Chris Newton; grandchildren, Cam'Ron, Jay 'Lissia, Cris Janiya, Brayden and Alex; siblings, Brenda Boston (Gerald), Jeff Newton (Geri) and Daryl Newton (Tonya); many nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 2-8pm Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. Funeral ceremony will be 11am Thursday, April 28th at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the family.
