Steve Messer

Steve Messer, 66, of Louisville, KY passed away on December 28, 2018. He retired from Ford Truck plant after 30 years of service. Steve enjoyed going hunting, fishing and watching UK Wildcats play basketball. He loved working on Ford cars, trucks and muscle cars. Steve loved spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Mary Messer; brother, Billy and James Messer.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathy Messer; children, Steve M (Brandy). Messer and Autumn (Daniel) Edge; grandchildren, Andrew Brown, Ethan Messer and Jaxon McGowan; brothers, Larry Messer and Ronnie Messer and sisters, Louise Yates, Annette Kruger and Nancy Wilbur.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11am-8pm and Sunday, January 6, 2019, from 9am-6pm. A celebration of Steve's life will be Monday, January 7, 2019, beginning at 11am at the chapel of the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Ln, Mt Washington, KY.
