Stephen "Jerry" Wright, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He had a lifelong career as a successful master electrician.
He was born on March 24, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Dencil and Rita (Montgomery) Wright. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his grandson, Hayden Hendricks; twin brother, Terry; and brother, Kenny Wright.
Jerry is survived by one sister; two daughters; grandchildren, Hunter and Hope Hendricks, Hayley Lay; and his furry companion, Squirt.
Cremation was chosen, and a reception of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 9:00 a.m. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry's memory may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society (1000 Lyndon Lane, Suite B, Louisville, KY 40222).
