Stephen M. Shake, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 4, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was a high school graduate of Iroquois High School and a retiree of the University of Louisville.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Mary and a brother, Tom.
Left to cherish his memory are his 2 daughters, Christy Lawes and Amy (Jeff) Thornton; his significant other, Peggy Dunn; a brother, James Shake; a sister, Pamela G. (Mike) Daunhauer; 3 grandchildren, Jordan Lawes, Chloe Thornton and Joshua Lawes; 4 nieces and nephews; and 6 great nieces and great nephews.
A service to celebrate Stephen's life will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Newcomer Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will accept guests for visitation at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for help with funeral expenses.
