Stephen Wayne "Steve" Melton, 49, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. He was a 1990 graduate of Silver Creek High School. Steve was a dog lover and car enthusiast. He enjoyed boating and motorcycles and was an avid NASCAR and football fan.
He was born on March 1, 1972, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Marvin and Nancy (Broady) Melton. In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by his son, Trevor Melton (Hannah); and siblings, Elizabeth Caudill, James Melton (Tina), Ann Berryman (Jerry), and Cathy Barksdale.
Steve's wishes were to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Floyd County Animal Rescue League (PO Box 285, New Albany, IN 47151).
