Stephen Glenn Pratt

November 5, 1985 — September 4, 2024

Louisville

Stephen Glenn Pratt born on November 5, 1985 in Morgantown, West Virginia and passed away on September 4, 2024 at his home in Louisville, Kentucky. Stephen struggled with a lifelong illness of Type 1 (Juvenile) diabetes and lost the battle with this terrible disease. He worked as a machinist for LINAK U.S., Inc and truly enjoyed his job, the company and coworkers.

Stephen‘s personality was characterized by kindness, compassion and a sense of humor. He enjoyed outdoor activities, including fishing, skiing and target shooting. He loved being surrounded by nature, whether it was the beach or the forest. He cared for animals and children, and they seem to sense it because they always gravitated toward him. He loved spending time with his family which brought him great joy and happiness and holidays were always a favorite.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ford Pratt, Jr; maternal grandparents Doris and Harry Thomson; and paternal grandparents Glenna and Robert Pratt. Stephen is survived by his mother Karen Lee Pratt of Shelbyville; his twin brother Shawn Robert Pratt (Amanda) of Mars, PA; and his younger brother Jonathan Harry Pratt (Caroline) of Allentown, PA; his niece Makenna Pratt and nephews Hudson and Cameron Pratt; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

As per his wishes, Stephen will be cremated and have no services locally. He will be buried with his father and grandparents in Pennsylvania with a private grade side service.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or simply by putting donations in the Salvation Army bucket because he loved ringing the bell on Christmas Eve with a family friend.
