March 24, 1946 — September 16, 2020

Stephen Cross, Jr., 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. He was born on March 24, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Stephen Cross, Sr. and Janette Marchant. He proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 years of service. He was a devoted husband and a loving Father and Grandfather and he loved his family and friends. To him "Family was everything".

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his adopted Mother, Lila Jackson.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 43 years, Deborah L. Cross; children, Bradley W. (Shawna) Cross, James W. (Onna) Withrow and Tammie M. (Jeff) Durbin; grandchildren, Stephen W. Cross, Michael Durbin, Allison Durbin, Sydney Withrow, Kasey Cross, Carrissa Striegel, John Marshall and Cassidy Marshall; a brother, Jack Jackson; and sisters, Mary, Patty and Janette.

A service to celebrate his life will take place at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). The family will accept guests for visitation at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm.
