Stephanie Taylor Lee Hampton was born on June 29, 1978, to the union of Arthur E. and Glenda B. Lee. She departed this life peacefully on March 2, 2019.
Stephanie graduated from Butler High School in 1996. She received her Associates Degree in Business Management from the National College of Business. She also received her certification in phlebotomy from Jefferson Community and Technical College.
Stephanie attended Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church under the late Rev. Kassee. She continued her membership at Quinn under the Rev. Padro Basden, where she served as President of the Young Peoples Department. She later joined Shively Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor William Gressette (Pastor Bill) where she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized.
Stephanie worked in two areas that she was particularly passionate about...the hospitality and medical fields. She worked several years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Parkway Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was employed as a front desk agent and night auditor for The Crown Plaza Hotel. She worked also as a Pharmacy Technician in the Rite-Aid Pharmacy.
On September 18, 2004, Stephanie married Michael Jerome Hampton, Jr. To this union, a son, Christian Michael Hampton was born.
She leaves in loving memory, a husband, Michael J. Hampton, Jr; a son, Christian Michael Hampton; a mother, Glenda B. Lee; a father, Arthur E. Lee; a brother, A. Franklin Lee (Jordan); an aunt, Ledley Hughes; uncles, Walter Leon Lee and Stephen Strauss; mother-in-laws, Frances M. Brown and Sandra Hampton; a father-in-law, Jonathan W. Brown; a sister-in-law, Ezra D. Brown; brother-in-laws, Tyerson Lancaster and Seante Hunt (Dayshia), sister-in-law, Tina Hunt and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Preceding her in death, maternal grandparents, Robert and Juanita Rufus; paternal grandparents, James and Lillian Lee; father-in-law, Michael Jerome Hampton, Sr; uncle, James Lee (Adele) and aunt, Deborah Strauss.
Burial will follow at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
