Star Chatham, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
She was born on February 8, 1951 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to the late Charles Chatham and Mary Louise (Lancaster) Ostrander. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Missy Gipson, brother Gerald Chatham and sister Charlyne "Bobo" Chatham.
She was a Wally B International Teen Queen, graduated from Cardome with top honors and was a Majorette at Shelbyville High School. Star also started the Red Devilettes (a children's majorette's program), she graduated from University of South Florida with honors and was the owner of Fancy Nails in Shelbyville and Dixie County Auction House in Cross City Florida. Star also owned an Ebay business specializing in antiques and collectibles.
Star's greatest enjoyment in life was being "Momma" to her children and "Marmie" to her grandchildren, letting each one know they were her "favorite."
Star is survived by her children, Luke Gipson (Cathy), Scarlet Garrity (Dave), Joey Chatham (Ange), Travis Craycraft and bonus son, Derick Yara (Shireen). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Olivia (John), Cristina (Ezra), Brooke, Blake, Alex, Kailey, Miles, Abby, Jake, Tori, Charlie and Connor. She is also survived by siblings Chuck Chatham, Robert Chatham (Karen) and Lucy Kerman (Mark).
All services will be private.
