He was born on June 10, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to Marcell and Mary (Perkins) Colomb. He is preceded in death by his Father, Marcell Joseph Colomb, Mother, Mary Elizabeth Risen, Dad, Curtis Risen, Jr, Brother, Robert Risen.

Sonny is survived by his loving family, Significant other, Lena (Hun) Drake, Siblings, Bonnie Hill, Danny Risen, and Jeanne Risen, 5 nieces & nephews, 12 great-nieces & nephews, and 1 great-great-nephew.
