Sidney R Carlton, Jr

Sidney R. Carlton Jr., 85, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away at Episcopal Church Home on Saturday, April 22, 2017. He retired from Naval Ordnance Station as a federal employee of 36 years and was a charter member of St. Martha Church for 54 years.

Sidney was born on September 11, 1931, Louisville, Kentucky to the late Sidney and Thelma. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Carlton; Donald's children, Mark and Denise.

He is survived by two Daughters, Judy Staten (Mike) and Vickie Morris (Randy); sister, Janet Kiefer (Don); sister in-law, Margaret Carlton; seven nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Whitney Martin (Craig), Lauren Batts (Wendy), Ashley Beougher (Jon); four great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville). His Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 10:00 am preceded by visitation at 9:00 am. Burial to follow at Resthaven.
