Shirley Ann Smith
June 16, 1933 — April 29, 2018
Shirley Ann Smith, 84, lost her 14 year battle with Alzheimer's on April 29, 2018. She was a wonderful mother to her three girls who will miss her dearly, but will take comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace with her Heavenly Father.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lang Smith; parents, George and Matilda Hardy; brother, Charles Hardy and sister, Mary Corn.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Doug) Jewell, Theresa (Keith) Sivori and Becky (Ron) Jekel; grandchildren, Angela (Rick) Williamson, Brenden Jekel and Kailyn Jekel; great-grandson, Michael Williamson; sister, Rose Renner; brothers, Bob Pullen, Kenny Hardy and Ron Hardy and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 3pm-8pm.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 beginning at 11am at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses and caregivers at the Masonic Home's Sam Swope Care Center Judy's House. She was blessed with several angels who took wonderful care of her during her final days and hours. We will be forever grateful.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Masonic Homes of Kentucky, 3701 Frankfort Avenue Louisville, KY 40207.
