Shirley Ann (Miles) Shaver

Shirley Ann (Miles) Shaver, 82, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Shirley was an avid UK fan and loved running around with her grandchildren. She loved camping, fishing, and visiting Gatlinburg. Of all her pastimes, Shirley's favorite was always being with her family.

She was born on September 16, 1938, in Wattsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late William, Sr., and Gertrude (Adams) Miles. Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shaver; and brothers, William Miles, Jr., and Donald Miles.

Shirley is survived by her loving children, Sandy (Larry) Watson, Chuck (Wendy) Shaver, and Terri (Jeff) Gayhart; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Shirley's memory be made to the WHAS-Crusade for Children.
