Shirley May Samples, 81, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020.
Shirley retired from Baptist Hospital East and was a member of Harrods Creek Baptist Church.
Shirley was born October 29, 1938, in Covington, KY to Boyd W. and Violet L. Judd. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Eugene Samples Sr., Son, Marvin Eugene Samples Jr., her Parents, and Brother, Fritz Judd.
Shirley is survived by her children, Deborah Lee Tharpe (Bryan), James Leonard Willis III (Amelia), Michael Allen Willis (Gina), and Jeffrey Wayne Willis (Brenda), Sisters, Carolyn Biddle and Jerra Coots, Brother, T.J. Judd, Grandchildren, Michael Tharpe, Christopher Tharpe, Stephanie Evans, Jimmy Willis, Stacy Bruce, Brandon Willis, Justin Willis, Sarah Willis, Megan York, and 18 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation for Shirley will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Dr.Louisville, KY) with her service to follow at 12. Burial will be at Harrods Creek Cemetery.
