Shirley (Schwanholt) Raymond, 85, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019. She graduated from Indiana University in 1957 with a bachelor's degree in Government and Political Science. Shirley was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and served as the scholarship chairperson. During her junior year, Shirley was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa national honorary society.

She met and married her husband, David, in Indianapolis, Indiana. They lived in the southern Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky, community before moving to Sandestin, Florida, in 1990. Shirley resided at Bluewater Bay in Niceville, Florida, from 1997 to 2017 before returning to Floyds Knobs.

She was born on September 12, 1934, in Aurora, Indiana, to the late Stanley and Lillian Schwanholt. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, David Raymond; and son, Kirk Raymond. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Cara Pecore (Todd Deaton); and grandsons, Zachary and Seth.

Cremation was chosen following Shirley's wishes. She will be laid to rest privately in Riverside Cemetery in Aurora, Indiana.
