Shirley Ann Delmenhorst

September 20, 1937 — June 24, 2017

Shirley Ann "Del" Delmenhorst, age 79, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017. Shirley was born in Louisville to the late Marlin A. and Erna Lee Kieswetter Delmenhorst. She was a graduate of St. Louis Bertrand Grade School, Holy Rosary Academy (1955) and attended Ursuline College. Shirley retired from Eastern Airlines and US Airways. She always enjoyed traveling and was a member of the "Frisky Folks Club". She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marie King; brothers, William, Johnny, Sydney and Alfred.

Shirley is survived by her loving brother, Edward and his wife Norma; nieces and nephews, Steve King (Melinda), Laurie King Warmath (Mark), Lisa King Lubner (Jack), Ann Delmenhorst Ising (Scott), Mark Delmenhorst, Brian Delmenhorst (Tina), John Delmenhorst (Stacy), Bill Delmenhorst (Sandy), Francis Delmenhorst, Jeanne Delmenhorst Miller (Austin) and Margaret Delmenhorst Cash (Mike); and a host of relatives and friends, especially the Middletown Frisky Folks.

Cremation was chosen. A prayer service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40204, with burial to follow.
