Sherry Sue (Hamm) Fields

Sherry Sue (Hamm) Fields, 78, of Waynetown, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in New Albany, Indiana.

Born on February 25, 1946, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Sherry was the daughter of Darrel and Blanche (Pierce) Hamm. Her life was characterized by her commitment to both her personal and professional endeavors. Together with her husband, Larry, they ran a successful business and upon retirement, Sherry got to enjoy spending time with her family. She loved attending festivals, with the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival being her favorite. 

Sherry is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Larry Fields; children, Heather Fields and Christopher Fields; grandchildren, Spencer Davis (Emily), Marrissa Koerner, Kristen Fields, Matt Harris, Jon Kelly; great-grandson, Lincoln Davis; and her brother, Gary Hamm.

Sherry was preceded in death by her daughter, Caralee Glenna, and her siblings, Jane Moore and Danny Hamm.

Sherry's wish was to be cremated and a reception for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
