Sherri Diane Royse, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on August 17, 1962, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
A graduate of Silver Creek High School, class of 1980, Sherri continued and earned a degree in nursing. Her commitment to caring for others led her to a remarkable career as a registered nurse, serving for 21 years at Norton Children Hospital. Sherri loved time with family, game nights and giving out fabulous prizes, pickleball, traveling, and spending time at the lake. She was a proud member of Northside Christian Church and attended One Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Royse; her son, Jeremy (Kathy) Bostock; her daughter, Megan (Juan) Bostock-Christie; and her grandchildren, McKenzie Summers, Blake Brill, Xavier Bostock, and Damien Bostock. Sherri’s legacy further lives on in her great-grandchild, Layla Gonzalez. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna (Tim Robinson) Foley, Delma (Kenny) Ehringer and Debra (Ron Traylor) Lomax, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sherri is reunited in rest with those who preceded her in death: her late husband, Scott Bostock; her parents, Robert and Judie Goode; her father-in-law, Marvin (Alicia) Bostock, Sr.; and her brothers-in-law, Steve Foley and Tim Bauer.
Visitation on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at One Community Church, 1810 Blackiston Mill Rd, Clarksville, Indiana. A funeral service honoring Sherri’s life will follow at noon at the church.
After 20+ years of caring for little ones at the Children’s Hospital, Sherris earthly shift is complete. Her call light is silent, and her healing hands are finally at rest.
The family requests that contributions in Sherri’s memory be made to One Community Church, 1810 Blackiston Mill Rd, Clarksville, Indiana.
