Sherree Lynn Hockensmith
March 1, 1959 — September 6, 2017
Sherree Lynn Hockensmith, age 58, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church, and retired from Brown-Forman after 27 years of service. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elfrieda Maria Mayer Beard.
Sherree is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Darrell; son, Richard Peckinpaugh, Jr. (Monica); her father, William C. Beard, Sr.; grandchildren, Thomas Anthony, Evelyn Judith and William Augustine Peckinpaugh; siblings, Peter Harold Beard (Jan), Susanna Maria Barnes (Mike) and William Clarence Beard, Jr. (Teresa); her beloved fur babies, Snickers and Barney; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration gathering will be held 12-6pm Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A Memorial Mass of Celebration will be 10am Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Ln, Louisville, KY., 40218. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Ky. at 12:30pm.
