Sheri Stallings

Sheryl Diane Stallings, of Louisville Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. Sheri (as she was known) had her loving husband Lowery and devoted daughter Dria by her side. Sheri was a vibrant woman who touched all who knew her with her remarkable kindness and sweet disposition. She married her high school sweetheart and best friend Lowery in 1986. The couple welcomed their beloved daughter Andria into their lives five years later, in 1991.

Sheri was a market gardener who loved to work in her gardens. She grew chemical free produce, berries, and flowers, and she cultivated fruit trees. Rabbit Trail Gardens – what Sheri named her endeavor – became her full-time passion at the beginning of 2025. While gardening was hard work, Sheri had a God-given passion for working with the land and growing produce in an environmentally responsible way. She sold her produce as a vendor at The Train Depot farmer’s market, always with husband Lowery by her side.

As well as gardening, Sheri enjoyed taking long walks and going for hikes in nature. Above all, Sheri treasured spending time with Lowery and Dria.

Sheri is survived by her loving family: her husband Lowery Stallings, her daughter Andria Stallings, her parents Roger and Donna (Cullen) Lang, and her brothers David (Kimberly) Lang and Greg Lang. In addition to these family members, Sheri has a host of extended family and longtime friends who will cherish her loving memory forever.

To celebrate her life, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th at St. James Episcopal Church in Pee Wee Valley at 2 PM. There will be a visitation preceding the service, starting at 11 AM.

Sheri’s family would like to encourage anyone who wishes to honor Sheri to send contributions to either Gilda’s Club of Kentuckiana, where she and Lowery received such comfort during her battle with cancer, or to Bernheim Forest, a favorite place for Lowery and Sheri to enjoy nature together.
