Sheila Kay McCubbins, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

She was born an only child in Louisville, Kentucky on November 8, 1955. Sheila was raised in the Clarksdale Projects Downtown.

She was preceded in death by her mother Bobbie Ann McCubbins.

Left behind to cherish her memory is a loving family including Charles Garlinger her soul mate and companion of 36 years; two sons Sean (Niki) McCubbins and Charles (Colleen Smith) Garlinger, II; one step-daughter Elizabeth (Chris) Bowers; eight grandchildren Lance, Taylor, Ashley, Siera, Josh, Joshua, Bailey and Jake; three great-grandchildren Keydon, Kaia and Sophia; five dogs and one cat as well as a host of other family members and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.

In loving memory of Sheila there will be a Gathering for family and friends to celebrate her life from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
