Sheila Durbin

Sheila P. Durbin, 78, of Louisville, died Saturday, May 9, 2015. She was born May 14, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Durbin; grandson, James Christopher Herrell; and three siblings.

Retired from Bell South after 28 years. Always feisty in spirit, she never hesitated to express her views and enjoyed friendly banter. She loved spending time with friends and family, laughing, and playing cards.

Sheila leaves a daughter, Carol Hays (Dan); sons, Tim Herrell (Debbie), Scott and Ray Durbin; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Carmen Asay; and special friend, Paula Bryant-Shirley.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy) with a celebration of Sheila's life beginning at 6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital.
