Sharon "Sherry" Senn Sauer

Sharon S. "Sherry" Sauer, age 77 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.  Sharon was born July 7, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Hazel Lee Senn and Arnold Raynolds Senn. She graduated from Male High School in 1965. Sharon was married October 29, 1970 to Jerry W. Sauer, Sr.  She worked for 31 years at South Central Bell/Bell South and retired in 1996.  Sharon enjoyed vacations in Florida, hosting the best Derby parties, Friday night pizza and beer, playing cards with friends and family, bowling , keeping a beautiful yard, sharing her famous chocolate delight and holly candy recipe. 

Sharon was active in many church functions. She practiced her faith and enjoyed the fellowship at Redeemer Lutheran Church.  Sharon was saved through the Grace of God.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Zack and Margaret Cravens; and her siblings, Ray Ray , Margie and Gennie Gail. 

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Jerry W. Sauer, Sr,;  her sons, Jerry W. Sauer, Jr. (Alice) and Tony L. Sauer (Valarie}; grandchildren, Quintin L. Sauer, Cortnee Gray and Samantha Gray; her sister, Pam; and brother, Billy Boy; and a host of relatives and friends. . 

Visitation will be from 2 to 4pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.  A celebration of Sharon's life will follow at 4pm there.

Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
