Sharon Jean Jeffries-Welsh

Sharon Jean Jeffries Welsh, age 79, native of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. 

Sharon was born on November 6, 1944 and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. She was a realtor in Florida and Kentucky, an athlete and had a passion for softball, volleyball (coach) and slalom skiing. She was an artist and author. Throughout her life she was known for her determination and strong will, hard work, toughness, resilience, and spontaneous nature with a charismatic sense of humor. 

In her free time, Sharon enjoyed sharing her art work and writings with others, and was known as the “Feng Shuai Master”, having a passion for décor and style. 

But more than anything, Sharon was a devoted and beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family and friends, sharing stories, playing games, reading her favorite books and watching her favorite TV shows. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges others faced.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Irvine Franklin Jeffries and Anna Louise Burns Jeffries, brother Irvine Thomas Jeffries. Loving parent of Kelly McNerney (Matt) and Brian Welsh (Kristen) and grandchildren Riley, Zoe and Aiden. Loving aunt of Dana Viens (Jared) and their children Hunter and Hannah. 

Sharon’s celebration of life will be on Saturday, September 14th, 11:00am, at Bernheim Forest, Sassafras Room, 2075 Clermont Rd. Clermont, KY 40110.
