Sharon Marie Guest, 57, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Sharon took pride in her work. She retired from the US Census Bureau after 24 years of service. Her greatest love was her grandchildren, and she cherished any moment that she could spend with them.
She was born on February 29, 1964, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Robert and Doreen (Tait) Guest. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 siblings.
Sharon is survived by her loving children, James Guest, Maggie (Jonathan Gibson) Smith, and Jennifer Smith; the father of her children, James Smith; 6 siblings; and grandchildren, Christopher, Lillyana, Landon, Layla, Levi, and Abigail.
A Memorial Gathering will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation was chosen following Sharon's wishes.
